what Protectakote offers is a unique anti-slip product.
Protectakote is a polyurethane paint which incorporates rubber granules to give a heavily textured
non / anti-slip finish.
The rubber granules offer a far more textured surface than other non-slip products, but with the
advantage that the rubber granules are flexible and so should not pierce primed or painted surfaces
which could lead to poor adhesion and rust bubbles (on a steel surface).
Being a polyurethane paint Protectakote is very flexible (for a paint) and so will stay stuck to surfaces that flex or bend (to an extent). This makes it particularly suitable for GRP cruisers or deck hatches that tend to deform under a heavy load or weight.
Protectakote (sometimes spelt incorrectly as protectacoat or protect a kote) can easily be applied to almost any surface including metal, wood, fibreglass or plastic. Protectakote non slip paint can also be applied on top of most other paint brands, so re-painting or overcoating your deck should be easy and quick (please read Protectakote literature or the back of the tin)
