Why choose a Wallas diesel appliance to cook on?
Wallas diesel ovens and hobs are the leading manufacturers of diesel cooking appliances
Wallas diesel hobs and ovens are VERY easy to use. Simply press the button to turn them on, set the temperature and you're away!
You can't smell diesel (in fact you wouldn't even know what they run on),
They warm up very quickly (comparable to a modern domestic electric oven)
Cooking with diesel gives you the opportunity to have a GAS FREE BOAT and all the safety advantages that go with it
Wallas diesel cookers and Wallas diesel hobs are very tolerant of red diesel quality, so you needn't be worried about performance and long term regular use
Cooking on Diesel is very cost effective. For example the 87D combined diesel oven and hob only uses 0.44 litres of diesel an hour when on full!
Wallas diesel hob and blower units provide an excellent method of heating your boat and cooking. Not only are they a hob, but a 2KW blown air heater as well

Each of the Wallas diesel cooking units above will need exhaust hose, an exhaust fitting, a fuel tank take-off, and fuel pipe (copper for Inland boaters). Other components may be needed depending upon your particular installation.

We will specify for you, what is needed (and why) to fit the Wallas unit in your boat. Wallas products are sold separately, so you only pay for what you need!.
Simply give us a call on 01353 663095

The main tasks to fitting a Wallas diesel cooker or Hob are: fitting the top of tank fuel take off, running the fuel and 12v supply to the unit and cutting and fitting the exhaust outlet(s). Its not nearly as hard or involved as it sounds!.

For Narrowboaters who can't get to the top of their tank we can put together the fittings needed to put a fuel take off on a vertical tank face (please call us for details)

Wallas diesel cookers and hobs, what accessories do I need?
For inland use Copper fuel line (with the appropriate filter), a fuel shut-off solenoid and appropriate fuel take off will need to be specified in order to meet Boat safety standards.

Why choose a Wallas diesel blown air heater?
Wallas blown air heaters operate on the same burner principle as their cooking equipment. The principle is different to other blown air heaters on the marine market and offers distinct advantages.
Wallas diesel heaters work on a "relaxed" burning process that doesn't involve high velocity air for vaporisation. That means they are extremely quiet and use less 12v power than many blown air heaters.
The Wallas combustion process is very tolerant of dubious quality red diesel. Like any technical product it has some long term servicing requirements, but these are simple, inexpensive and can easily be carried out by your local Wallas dealer.
We believe a big strength of a Wallas product is the dealer you buy one from. At Ely Boat Chandlers we are trained on how to advise, install and service Wallas diesel hobs, cookers and blown air heaters.
Heating with diesel gives you the opportunity to have a GAS FREE BOAT and all the safety advantages that go with it.
